Digipak/Poster

Learning Comment- these are the first full edits of my digipak and poster. I will have to look back at what I have done and see what changes I will need to make. There are still some things that need to be added and changed but this gives me a starting point for my project.

Learning Comment - In my third edit I have finished blocking out my music video, meaning I know basically the order of my shots. I have used text scenes to block out sections where I want to add more narrative elements. This is because when I was looking through my footage I released that I hadn't shot as many narrative sections as I would have liked. This means that I will have to organise another day to go out filming.

Learning Comment - This is the second edit of my music video, where I was able to continue to block out the song and see what footage was good to use. I also decided to add a text on top of clips i may want to change or move. I also used it to block out sections of the song that I need to fill.

Filming/Editing Diary 2

Today I took the day To go filming with Katie in my main location, Westonbirt Arboretum. This was I would be ale to spend a good amount of time filming and gaining a wide range of shots so that they can be used for my final footage. I really like the location as it gave me the autumnal look that I planned for my video.
I put together some test footage to see how the clips looked. I used test footage from my first shoot as well as some cut away shots of the new shoot.

I then went and started to put the clips together to start to build up my video. I will be using iMovie to do this.  I have used this software before so it means that i don't need to spend time working out how to use it.

Filming/Editing Diary 1

Today my main actress (Katie) and I went out filming some local test locations, so that I could see how they worked with my music video. I went to a range of locations (alley ways, walk paths, high street and a café) so that I could see which ones worked well and for what reasons. I decided that theses location worked better for my narrative rather than lip syncing. This means that they will seem separate from the performance element of my music video. I really liked the café location as I felt like it fitted best with the style of my video. I really like filming in natural light as i think it creates a happier tone in the mist-en-scene of the video. I will try to make sure that when i film outside that the weather is good so that I can gain the same quality in my final filming.

Test Footage

Learning Comment - before going and shooting my final footage I decided to look at some of my locations and see how well they fitted with my genre and plan for the song. I decided to look places that were easy to access for my actor. I also decided to do a photoshoot before hand allowing me to see what outfits worked and what didn't. Here is some of the footage from the shoot.
